Utilize the Dog's Sense of Smell

Dogs can recognize the place where they urinated before through their sense of smell. When a dog urinates elsewhere, use a dog pee pad to absorb some urine, so that the dog is more likely to urinate on the pad the next time it smells a familiar odor.
For example, if you have a puppy that has not yet developed good toilet habits, immediately use a dog pad to suck some urine after its first casual urination, and then place the pad in the fixed position where you want it to urinate.
- Add Inducer
Pet shops have specialized pet micturition inducers, which typically contain chemicals that mimic the attraction of dogs in their urine. Spraying the inducer on the urine pad will emit a special odor that attracts dogs to come. According to the requirements of the product manual, generally before placing the urine pad, spray an appropriate amount of inducer on the center area and edges of the urine pad.
Choose the Appropriate Location and Environment

Observe the dog's preference for places where they like to urinate. Some dogs like to use the toilet in corners or relatively hidden places. You can place a pet pee pad in these places, such as the corner of the room, behind the sofa, or in the corner of the balcony. At the same time, it is important to ensure that this location is at a certain distance from where the dog eats and sleeps, as dogs usually do not defecate near their own eating and sleeping areas.
For example, if a dog frequently wets in a corner of the bedroom, you can place a dog pad in that corner and gradually guide it to use the pad as a fixed spot for urination.
- Comfortable Environment
The place where the dog potty pad is placed should be kept clean, dry, and well ventilated. If the potty pad is always wet or there is an odor in the surrounding environment, the dog will be unwilling to approach. At the same time, temperature is also important. Do not place the pet pad in a place that is too cold or too hot to avoid the dog not going to the dog pad due to discomfort.
