There is no fixed standard for how long a disposable dog diaper can be worn, as it is mainly affected by factors such as the dog's urine output, activity level, and usage scenario. Overall, it is recommended that the diaper be worn for no more than 8 hours at a time, with specific guidelines divided into the following situations:

Daily Home Use

For adult dogs with normal urine output, if the diaper is only for daily home protection, it is recommended to replace it every 3–6 hours. Even if the diaper is not fully soaked, regular replacement is necessary to avoid dampness and heat buildup inside the diaper, which can breed bacteria and cause skin inflammation or urinary tract infections in dogs. For puppies with small bladder capacity and frequent urination, it is recommended to check the diaper every 2–3 hours and replace it immediately once it becomes wet.

Outdoor or Special Scenarios

For scenarios such as outdoor walks or long-distance trips, the wearing time can be appropriately extended to 6–8 hours, but spare dog diapers must be prepared in advance. If the diaper becomes swollen, leaks, or the dog shows signs of discomfort like restlessness, it should be replaced immediately. During special periods such as post-operative care or the estrus cycle, for hygiene purposes, it is recommended to replace the diaper every 2–4 hours to reduce the risk of infection.

Signs of Absorption Saturation

When the diaper shows signs such as surface dampness, sagging and swelling at the waist, or an unpleasant odor, it must be replaced immediately regardless of the wearing duration, to prevent urine leakage or rewetting that could irritate the dog's skin.
