Training dogs to defecate and urinate in a fixed location requires patience and skill, and must have a designated place at home for dog potty. If it is not allowed for the dog to have a toilet at home, you must take your dog for walks at least twice a day, regardless of wind or rain. If it's like when the weather is cold and there's a cold wave, and you don't want to go out at all, then we have to use dog pee pads to let the dog urinate and defecate at home.

Dogs usually have the habit of smelling and circling when excreting, but they do so not to like the smell of urine, but to leave their own scent. If dogs are trained with newspapers, they may feel like they have just left a scent and be taken away by their owners, which can actually make them unsure where to pee. In addition to smell, dogs also enjoy the feeling of their feet touching the ground, so many dogs like to pee on cloth.
There are several key points to training dogs to use puppy pads:
1. Before training a dog to use a puppy pad, we should first circle a training area and let it move within this area. Place bowls, toys, beds, etc. on one side of the training area, and disposable pee pads on the other side. Utilize the dog's characteristic of not excreting in a sleeping area to induce it to use dog pads.
2. If it is a young dog, you can first fill the isolation area with pee pads, let it find the right position, gradually narrow the range, and finally remove the isolation area, leaving only the pee pads. It should also be noted that as the size of the dog increases, the choice of pet hygiene mats should also change. As the dog grows older, the size of the puppy pad should also increase accordingly, otherwise it may not be possible to urinate well on the pad.
3. During training, appropriate induction should be given, with praise given to dogs for correct behavior and criticism given for incorrect behavior. If a dog wets in the right place, we can snap fingers or whistle or say "potty", and then reward it with a small snack. Through the transmission of sound, dogs' memory will be better and their concentration will be stronger. The sound can be finger tapping, whistling, or saying any word you like. If a dog urinates in the wrong place, make an angry expression and criticize it loudly. Then disinfect and deodorize the wrong areas to prevent dogs from remembering and continuing to make mistakes. In addition, narrow down their range of activities.
4. Repeat the training several times to strengthen memory until the dog becomes accustomed to using a puppy pad to use the restroom.
