Disposable female dog diapers are mainly used for estrus care, postpartum lochia management or incontinence situations in female dogs. The key points of wearing are to ensure a snug fit without slipping and prevent side leakage. Specific steps are as follows:

Preparation

  • Select a diaper size that matches the dog's waist circumference.
  • Gently soothe the dog to keep it relaxed, and have it stand up for easy operation.

Wearing Procedure

  • Unfold and lay the diaper flat.
  • Pass the dog's tail through the tail hole of the female diaper. Place the side with the cotton core facing downward, tuck it between the dog's hind legs, and make sure the cotton core side is against the dog's abdomen.
  • Adjust the position to ensure the leak-proof edges of the diaper fully cover the dog's private parts and avoid displacement.
  • Tear off the velcro strips on both sides of the diaper, stretch them to the sides respectively, and stick them to the fixed area on the diaper on the dog's back. The tightness should allow you to insert one finger between the diaper and the dog's body-too tight may hurt the dog, while too loose may cause slipping and leakage.

Inspection & Adjustment

  • After wearing, gently pull the edges of the diaper to confirm that the velcro is firmly fastened.
  • Observe the dog's movement. If the dog shows signs of discomfort such as frequent licking or twisting its body, re-adjust the position or replace it with a different size.
  • It is recommended to check the wetness of the diaper every 2–4 hours and replace it in a timely manner to keep the dog's skin dry and comfortable.

Tips

  • For the first time of wearing, you can put an Elizabethan collar on the dog to prevent it from biting the diaper.
  • If the dog has long hair, properly trim the hair on its abdomen and around the anus to reduce the risk of leakage.
